No. Therapy looks backwards to process what happened. Founder Design looks forwards to design what's next. We use what's in your way, not to dwell on it, but to move past it. Dave isn't a therapist. He's a coach who built his framework from rebuilding his own life, and he applies it to founders rebuilding theirs.
How is this different from a business coach?
Most business coaches work on the business. We work on the founder. The premise is simple: the business you build is shaped by the person building it. Work on the operator, and the operation improves. Dave handles the emotional and mental side. Joey is on call for the practical and operational side when it matters.
How long does it take?
It depends where you're starting and where you want to end up. Business isn't linear, so we don't run a rigid process. We move with you. Some founders see material shifts in as little as three months. Others choose to keep working with us for over a year. Nobody is tied to anything.
What if I just want to try it first?
Start with the Audit. A one-off session with Dave and one with Joey, with a written diagnosis at the end of where you are, what's underneath, and what to do next. No pressure to continue. If it's right, we'll tell you. If it isn't, we'll tell you that too.
